Binod Bihari Mahato College Baliapur, Dhanbad was established in 1982 and is situated in a remote area at an approximate distance of 25 kms . From the district headquarter. Expanded in an area of more than 08 Acres the college imparts education at undergraduate level in Arts, commerce and science streams and provides Honors teaching facilities in 19 (nineteen) programs out of which (14) in Arts, ( 01) in commerce and the rest (05) in science subjects.
The college is permanently affiliated to Binod Bihari Mahato Koylanchal university Dhanbad and situated in a serene and tranquil ambience and is the sole seat of higher education covering a large peripheri of 10 kms of surroundings. Apart from this students from the neighboring states like west Bengal and Bihar get admitted for obtaining Higher education.
The college is registered U/S 2(f) and 12 (b) of UGC ACT 1956, is NAAC accredited as well aided by the Govt. of Jharkhand and managed by Binod Bihari Mahato Smarak Samittee
Governance –The decision making authority of the college is the Governing Body which is approved by the Govt. and the university concerned.
